Nurture your family & the land
When growing fruit trees, whether it be a couple apples in your back yard to a large scale orchard, it is important to have a solid management system in place to help support production and longevity. We offer an organic orchard management program performed throughout the growing season to help prevent and manage pests. This includes 5-8 treatments, depending on pest pressure, performed between March-September. When correctly timed, orchard treatments can significantly reduce pest pressure while helping support a large crop production. We also offer winter pruning of your fruit trees, as well as soil work.

Orchard Treatments
informed support for a fruitful harvest
A successful orchard begins with a clear and consistent management program. Whether caring for a few backyard fruit trees or a more established planting, the goal is to support both production and longevity over time. Our orchard services are designed around this principle—providing structured, season-long care that anticipates common challenges and responds to them at the right moment.
During the growing season, orchard health is shaped by timing. Treatments applied between early spring and late summer play a critical role in preventing and managing pests before they become established. By performing a series of carefully timed applications—adjusted based on pest pressure—we are able to significantly reduce the impact of common issues such as apple scab, fire blight, codling moth, and other seasonal threats. When approached proactively, this process helps protect developing fruit and supports more consistent yields.

How it works
nature first
Our program emphasizes an organic and systems-based approach whenever possible, recognizing that long-term orchard health depends on more than pest control alone. Trees that are supported through proper soil care, nutrient availability, and overall vitality are better equipped to withstand environmental stress and resist disease. By pairing orchard treatments with soil work and ongoing observation, we create conditions that allow trees to perform more reliably year after year.
Equally important is the role of winter pruning in maintaining orchard productivity. Dormant-season pruning helps guide structure, improve light penetration, and regulate how a tree allocates energy in the following season. When done correctly, this work not only enhances fruit quality, but also complements the effectiveness of in-season treatments by improving airflow and reducing disease pressure within the canopy.
